About us
CTS were formed in 1999 successful in procuring domestic extensions and minor refurbishment works to schools in the Berkshire area. Within 2 years of trading the company was successful in winning extension works to various schools within the Wokingham Borough portfolio. This was a significant juncture for CTS to develop and extend the organisational structure to meet the demands of an ever increasing client database. The management structure expanded introducing planning, quantity surveying, and purchasing functions. To mitigate risk to the company and to clients a direct labour force was employed utilising fully qualified operatives.
In 2005 CTS were successful in becoming the Term Maintenance Contractor for Wokingham Borough Councils Reactive Maintenance & Void works for Tenant Services having a contract value of £875k. To meet our contractual obligations, again the company underwent a significant recruitment drive which saw the company essentially introduce a dedicated management structure to work with the Authority in initiating a methodology to improve performance indices with regard to both response times and quality of works carried out. Our performance led to further contracts being awarded to us including compiling in conjunction with the Authority a rationale for meeting a demanding programme to satisfy the requirements of the Decent Home Standards 2010. CTS have also assisted in advising and implementing outsourcing of the help desk facility to further improve the quality of services.
More recently we have extended our Reactive Maintenance services to schools across Ascot & Bracknell. In 2005 the construction arm of the company extended operations into the Design and Build market after successfully winning tenders for new educational buildings at Keep Hatch Primary School and Waingels College. The Keep Hatch facility provided 1500m2 of additional floor space including general teaching, IT, administration and meeting areas. Waingels College, predominantly an IT facility was a two storey structure of some 1100m2. Both projects were designed and built simultaneously on a fast track basis and were delivered within programme and within the defined financial parameters.
