This site is provided by Bath Tourism Plus, the destination marketing organisation for the city of Bath and the surrounding area.

In June 2004 Bath Tourism Plus introduced a membership scheme for tourism businesses, thereby establishing a ground-breaking partnership between the public and private sector. The scheme now numbers some 420+ members and provides access to a wide range of commercially-focussed benefits and services, including marketing and promotion.

Chief Executive – Bath Tourism Plus

Bath, and the countryside around it, is very special. It has a history dating from Roman times based on water & healing, pleasure & culture, imagination & elegance, knowledge & invention and architectural heritage. This inheritance is being enhanced by new investments and a willingness to keep reinventing itself. Bath Tourism Plus is the organisation charged with leading the promotion of the city to the rest of the world and ensuring that the visitors we attract bring wealth and create jobs.

The Chief Executive we are looking for will:

  • Be passionate about promoting and developing tourism and able to take people with you.
  • Be an experienced leader with a track record of developing and changing organisations.
  • Have worked at Board level and be able to develop a new strategic direction.
  • Be able to demonstrate commercial success including generating sponsorship and new income streams.
  • Have experience of running a business, including financial and operational accountability.
  • Be familiar with economic development and understand the contribution visitors make to generating wealth.
  • Have a marketing background or knowledge of marketing.
